With WTTC.com, event and meeting planners can search for, find, and contact suppliers of all kinds. The site provides a comprehensive and searchable database of venues and services located in the Greater Boston area. So, whether you're looking for things to do in Boston, interested in booking a private walking tour, or need transportation for your group from the airport to downtown, it's only a click away. WTTC.com is free to event and meeting planners and includes a private ‘planners’ page, where program information and business contacts can be stored and shared. The site also features a flat-rate, fee-per-use program review service provided by a Boston-based destination management company (or DMC). Launched in March 2008, WTTC.com is a business venture of Welcome To The City, Inc.
Meet Our Partners: Welcome To The City, Inc. is owned and operated by Mary Ellen Tristram, Andrew Maxwell and Randy Markus. Together, the three partners have over 100 years of collective experience in the meetings and convention industry, most recently as owners/operators of Welcome To The City, Inc. a Toronto-based destination management company.
Mary Ellen TristramWelcome To The City, Inc. co-founder and partner Mary Ellen Tristram directs all national sales efforts and provides senior-level support to WTTC.com advertising and listing partners.
With over 20 years of experience in the meetings and convention industry, Mary Ellen has an excellent reputation building and nurturing business relationships thanks to her relentless pursuit of service excellence.
Mary Ellen is an active member of The Toronto Convention and Visitors Association (Tourism Toronto) and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). She is also a past President of the Toronto PCMA Chapter.
Andrew MaxwellAndrew Maxwell joined Welcome To The City, Inc. in 1996, after a successful stint as co-owner of The Exeter Group, a Toronto-based restaurant management company. With over 15 years of experience in hotel operations, Andrew has held several senior managerial positions, including Senior Operations Manager with Canada's largest hotel, Toronto's Delta Chelsea Inn.
Andrew's financial acumen and ability to develop and enhance the company's business strategy has helped propel Welcome To The City’s latest venture -- WTTC.com -- to its current level of success, making it the largest independent online resource for the meeting and conventions industry in North America.
Randy MarkusA partner of Welcome To The City, Inc. since 1992, Randy brings over 15 years of experience in operations and data management to WTTC.com. Responsible for building and growing WTTC.com’s network of suppliers and registered planners, Randy brings formidable skills as a problem-solver and a well-earned reputation as a genuine people-person to the tasks at hand.
Prior to joining Welcome to the City Inc., Randy played a key role in opening The Metropolitan Hotel, one of Toronto's most successful hotel properties. She is an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
